I began playing violin when I was 5, and although I have taken breaks over the years, I am still very close to my violin 14 years later. Playing violin has made me appreciate the art of communication through music––how we connect with one another and tell stories through pieces of music.
Musicfest Northwest takes place every spring in Spokane, WA, as a celebration of young musicians and dancers. Those who take part in the weeklong festival, either by playing an instrument, singing or dancing, are judged by nationally and internationally known artists and master teachers.
In the 2019 edition of Musicfest, I was the Adjudicator’s Choice Winner and earned a Gold Medal in the Strings Section. I was invited to perform in the Musicfest Northwest “Highlights Concert.”
In June 2019, I won 3rd Prize in the Best Wieniawski Performance, an international competition organized by the Great Composers Competition Series.
When I was eight, I joined the Spokane Youth Strings, where I was the youngest member of the orchestra.
Over the years, my skills improved, and I progressed through the four orchestras in the program, eventually becoming the principal violinist of the Spokane Youth Symphony, the most advanced orchestra.
