Hello, I’m Alex! Welcome to my website!

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at Yale University, where I’m double majoring in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry (B.S. / M.S. program) and Statistics & Data Science. My aim is to pursue a research career in academia, and I am a current member of the Gerstein Lab, where I study the functional impact of structural variants on gene regulation in the human brain.

As a published researcher, I thrive on collaboration and enjoy tackling new challenges; I’m particularly passionate about bridging the gap between scientific communities and the public through advocacy and education––society needs scientists who are both altruistic and trustworthy, people who embody the spirit of innovation but also grapple with the societal impact and applicability of their research.

My non-academic interests and activities include health and nutrition, competitive cycling, violin, and chess.
