Yale Chess Club Outreach
Together with two fellow students at Yale, I taught chess as part of an after-school program at East Rock Community Magnet School.

MATHCOUNTS Foundation
Through Yale’s MATHCOUNTS Outreach Program, I taught competition-style MATHCOUNTS topics every week at King-Robinson Inter-District Magnet School.
I enjoyed this experience as I had participated in Washington State’s MATHCOUNTS competition back in middle school and volunteered at the regional competition on a couple of occasions.
Ronald McDonald House
I served on the 2021-2022 Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest Teen Board. The mission of RMHC is to provide a “home away from home” for families with ill or injured children.
I attended monthly meetings focused on servant leadership and served as an ambassador for RMHC by volunteering at the RMHC house and participating in fundraising events. Together with other teen board members, I raised over $50,000 through the Flamingo Flocking fundraiser.
We were recognized with a Chase Youth Award in the Community Service by a Teen Group category. I had previously received a Chase Youth Award in the Personal Achievement by a Teen category. I am honored to have been recognized by the Spokane community and leadership in this way.
Innoverge
As a Regional Director for Innoverge, a non-profit that develops innovative STEM curricula and has reached more than 8,000 students worldwide, I partnered with organizations such as Girl Scouts and collaborated with other regional directors to host workshops for students around the world.
I worked with the Education Team at Innoverge to create a middle school biology curriculum, which included workshops about DNA, the Central Dogma, Third Generation Sequencing, and the genome-editing technology CRISPR.
Ride to End Alzheimer’s
As part of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Ride to End Alzheimer’s Summer Challenge, I rode more than 170 miles in one day, raising over $1,000 for Alzheimer’s research.
